Chantryile "I" litter - Am Ch, Can Ch, U Ch Wattu Deabei x Am OTCh, GrCh Chantryile Gossip Girl UDX2, OM3, RAE

* pending AKC confirmation

Born August 23, 2016 - 4 boys & 4 girls

This litter is a co-breeding with Sedona's owners, Pam & Bob Blackstone, in New Jersey.

In Pam's words - All About Sedona!

No matter what the suggestion is, Sedona's answer is always"Yes, let's do it!"

Sedona is equally enthusiastic to train obedience, show in the breed ring, search or "get the paper." However, she is a very relaxed and quiet house dog, only barking (appropriately) when someone comes to the door. Otherwise, she is happy to be in the same room as her people, often on my lap, definitely on the sofa. She's a big mooch, but is respectful when asked to stop. Sedona has never met a dog or a person that she doesn't get along with, but she is not an in-your-face kind of friendly. She's a thinker, a serious dog who wants to be right. She has never needed a correction that's any stronger than a soft "uh uh." She is successful because she wants to be what you want her to be. Strangers often comment on her serenity.

Sedona's accomplishments:

  • Champion from the 9-12 month puppy class, including a 5-point Specialty BOW at 6 months/3 days of age
  • Grand Champion in 10 shows
  • All Rally titles, including RN, RA, RE and RAE, with no NQs and an average score of 98
  • CD - 3 shows
  • CDX - 3 shows
  • UD - 4 shows
  • Within one year of getting her UD title, she achieved her OTCh, her UDX2 (20 double Qs) and her Obedience Master 3 (based on high scores). She competed in three national qualifying, invitational tournaments including The Obedience Classic in Orlando, FL, the Westminster Obedience Championship in NYC, and the National Obedience Championship in Tulsa, OK.

Sedona also loves herding, agility, nose work and all dairy products!

Wattu!

What to say about Wattu? He's a gentleman, a sweet and affectionate boy, rock steady with people, good with other dogs. Stable and outgoing, accepting of change and new experiences (and he's had a few!). Lovely structure and bone, great movement, good head, excellent breed type.

Lois Amer imported Wattu as a puppy to Canada, from Deabei kennels in the Czech Republic. Eleanor met Lois and her fur-kids in March 2015 in Nova Scotia, when we bred Taylor (Sedona's sister) to Wattu. In September 2015, circumstances changed and Lois made the very tough decision to rehome her dogs, and she asked us to help find Wattu a permanent home. With a little help from some friends, I was able to get Wattu and bring him to Ontario. He stayed with us for three weeks and fit in beautifully! Our pack all loved Wattu but we couldn't keep him because we already had four dogs. So Wattu went to his new, forever home in Maine with Ros Arienti (who already had a girl from our Wattu x Taylor litter). He's happy as the proverbial clam now, running in the ocean surf, playing with his girls, snuggling with his people, winning over everyone he meets with his lovely personality and good looks.

Wattu is a multi-group placer in Canada. Lois registered him with AKC in 2015 and he was shown on the east coast at one cluster that spring, winning 6 points including a major. Ros showed him 5 more times for 3 more majors and 2 RWD to majors, finishing his AKC championship (pending verification) in August 2016. What a boy!
